USM Triumphs at AEROS CubeSat Competition 2024

The AEROS CubeSat Competition aimed at providing undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to develop innovative conceptual designs of CubeSats. This year’s theme focused on the conceptual design of CubeSats for marine debris detection.

The competition began in February 2024, attracting 18 teams from various universities across Malaysia. After months of rigorous assessments, the event culminated in the final LIVE round held at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia on the 26th and 27th of August 2024, with 14 teams competing in the final stage.

Congratulations to the School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), for their outstanding performance, winning both the Champion and Runner-Up positions. The Champion title was awarded to Team APEX Orbiters, while Team Ocean Eyes proudly secured the Runner-Up position.
