Research Background

Ir. Dr. Ahmad Faizul bin Hawary is a Senior Lecturer and core researcher at the School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechatronic Engineering from UTM, an M.Sc in Robotics and Automation from the University of Salford, UK, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK. Dr. Ahmad Faizul spent 7 years as a maintenance and equipment engineer in the tools and semiconductor manufacturing industry prior to entering academia, which heavily informs his applied research approach. His professional focus incorporates embedded control systems, robotics and automation, multi-objective optimization, flight control, and intelligent product design optimization.
