Research Background

Dr. Zhou Ye obtained her B.Sc. degree and M.Sc. degree from the School of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Her Bachelor and Master theses were both recognized with distinguished dissertation awards, given only to the top 3% of scholarly theses. In 2018, she received her Ph.D. degree in Control and Simulation, Aerospace Engineering, from Delft University of Technology. Her doctoral research specialized in "online reinforcement learning control for aerospace systems," bridging advanced adaptive dynamic programming structures with flight stabilization demands.

Current Research Focus Areas

  • Machine learning, neural networks, and online reinforcement learning applications
  • Nonlinear adaptive flight control and aerospace system autonomy
  • Intelligent control, guidance, and navigation (GNC) for aerial vehicles
  • Autonomous path planning and tracking algorithms for intelligent aerial robotics
