Research Background
Ts. Dr. Norizham bin Abdul Razak is an Associate Professor at the School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He compiled his early academic foundation within USM before earning an M.Phil from the University of Manchester and a Ph.D. from the University of Liège, where he also functioned as a post-doctoral researcher. His core areas of expertise revolve around Aeroelasticity and Experimental Aerodynamics. His profound structural analysis work centers heavily on modeling dynamic stall behaviors, unsteady fluid-structure variations, and inventing advanced Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) diagnostic instrumentation.
Current Research Topics
- Characterization behaviour of aeroelastic systems with nonlinear properties
- Leading-Edge Vortex (LEV) effects on unsteady aerodynamic forces of wings undergoing flapping dynamics
- Development of PIV illumination frameworks using high-power LED arrays
- Development of advanced Dual-colour Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) setups
- Simulation of aeroelastic behaviors using Finite Element (FE) modeling coupled with Vortex Lattice Methods (VLM)
