Research Background

Dr. Safiah binti Zulkifli is a dedicated academic and core researcher at the School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, serving as a Lecturer since October 2021. She completed her early undergraduate training with a B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering (Honours) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) before achieving an M.Sc. in Engineering Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She later received her Ph.D. in Radar Systems from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, where her breakthrough doctoral research centered on the development of a K-band FMCW flexible radar prototype for the high-fidelity detection and classification of nano-drones. Her technical capabilities highlight radar signal processing, counter-UAV mechanics, and aerospace electronic defense tracking.
