Welcome to the AEROFAIR 2014 blog. We the staffs at the School of Aerospace Engineering (SAE), Universiti Sains Malaysia are excited to organize another run of our outreach program to promote science and engineering to secondary school students through activities related to aerospace engineering. The theme of this year’s AEROFAIR event is “Modeling and Flying Competitions“. The main event day of this year’s program is the competition event on Saturday, 27/9/2014, at the USM Engineering Campus, Nibong Tebal. Special prizes and certificates will be awarded to winners in all competitions. (Our new logo above for Aerofair 2014 was designed by our student Alex Khoo Teng Lee).

Post-event information:
To make this year’s AEROFAIR event more exciting, it will be organized in conjunction with another event, the i-Space Festival 2014 which will also be run at the USM Engineering Campus, Nibong Tebal. The i-Space Festival program is a 4-day event and open to the general public and students from 25 to 28 September 2014 with the theme “Synergizing Industries and Universities Toward Sustaining Our Science Education”. At the heart of this program, more than 80 exhibits on engineering and technology from industries and universities will be shown and demonstrated to visitors.
All secondary schools in the Pulau Pinang area has given the approval by Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang to take part in the AEROFAIR 2014 program. Please refer to this official letter for this approval.
